How pressure, membrane separation and reject water work. General technology information; it does not certify a Velta model.
Water
Understand the treatment path.
RO is the shared foundation of HydroSpark+, HydroForm+ and HydroView+. Carbon, model-specific UV, TDS displays and filter reminders each have a different job.

01 · Water
RO · membrane separation
Pressure drives water through a semi-permeable membrane. The system separates treated water from a reject-water stream carrying retained dissolved matter.
The manufacturer’s nominal 0.0001 µm membrane scale describes the technology; it is not a finished-product contaminant reduction result. Compare exact-model evidence before relying on a specific claim.
02 · Water
Carbon · a different part of the job
Activated carbon is used in the treatment path for taste and odour and selected compounds. It complements the RO membrane.
HydroSpark uses a 4-in-1 cartridge. HydroForm combines PAC, RO, activated carbon and outlet UVC. HydroView has CF and RO cartridges. Cartridge count and treatment-stage count describe different things.
03 · Water
UV · light at a defined stage
HydroForm includes UVC at the dispensing outlet. UV is a hygiene stage; it does not remove dissolved solids in the way an RO membrane does.
The location, exposure and condition of a UV system matter. Do not assume all three purifier models have the same UV feature or infer a numerical germ reduction without applicable product testing.
04 · Water
TDS · a useful RO indicator
TDS is an indication of total dissolved solids. Comparing readings can give a convenient view of RO performance.
HydroSpark shows one TDS value in settings; HydroForm shows one live reading; HydroView shows inlet and outlet readings together at the faucet. TDS does not identify individual contaminants or certify water safety.
05 · Water
Filter monitoring · prompts for care
The displays track filter life and give model-specific reminders. These are device-calculated indicators, rather than direct measurements of the physical cartridge condition.
Follow the reminder or published litre/time limit, whichever comes first. HydroSpark: approx. 4,000 L / up to 24 months. HydroForm: one S$148 replacement offer supplied as two cartridges, changed by its reminder and published guidance. HydroView: CF 4,000 L / 12 months; RO 8,000 L / 24 months.

SGS testing · read the sample result
SGS tested water dispensed by HydroSpark+. Report HNSA/260580372-AH86294, dated 7 May 2026, reported the tested panel without detected total coliforms, E. coli, arsenic, lead, mercury or the pesticides tested.
This is a result for the tested water sample, not product certification, a percentage reduction test or a guarantee for every home. ‘Not detected’ means below the method’s reporting limit. It does not establish the same result for HydroForm or HydroView.
