Start here · three everyday readings
AirLab P80S senses two of these directly. Knowing what each one describes makes the display useful rather than decorative.
- PM2.5
- Airborne particles 2.5 micrometres across or smaller — fine enough to stay suspended and be drawn deep into the lungs. Haze, cooking, traffic and smoke all raise it.
- TVOC
- Total volatile organic compounds: a combined reading for airborne gases released by paint, adhesives, new furniture, cleaning products and cooking. It is a trend indicator, not a measurement of any single compound.
- Humidity
- How much water vapour the air holds against the most it could hold at that temperature. Persistently high humidity is what lets mould and dust mites establish themselves.
02
The appliance
Particle collection, sensor readings and care. AirLab P80S does not reduce humidity or solve a moisture problem.
- AirLab P80S
- Washable pre-filter and electrostatic collector, sealed UV-C, PM2.5 and TVOC sensing, published coverage up to 62 m².
- Velta Classroom · air
- Watch the AirLab film.
- Air technology explained
- CADR, electrostatic collection, sealed UV-C and the limits of sensor readings.
