01RO tackles dissolved solids
Every Velta purifier uses RO to reduce dissolved solids that carbon filtration alone cannot.
Reverse osmosis water purifiers
Every Velta purifier uses RO for finer filtration than carbon alone. Built-in TDS readings let you check performance, while filter-life reminders tell you when upkeep is due.

Filtration and upkeep
RO reduces dissolved solids that carbon alone cannot. The TDS reading shows it is working, and filter reminders tell you when a change is due.
01Every Velta purifier uses RO to reduce dissolved solids that carbon filtration alone cannot.
02A built-in TDS reading lets you check how the RO stage is doing, right on the purifier.
03Each purifier shows filter life and tells you when a cartridge is due.
Compare the three purifiers
The right model depends on the water you want—sparkling, hot and cold, or ambient—and whether it belongs on the counter or under the sink.
Countertop · sparkling, hot and cold
01

RO-filtered sparkling, cold, ambient and hot water.
Sediment · pre-carbon · RO · post-carbon
Countertop · hot and cold
02

Plumbed-in hot, cold and ambient RO water.
PAC composite · RO + ACF · outlet UVC
Under-sink · clear worktop
03

Ambient RO drinking water, plus a second filtered outlet for rinsing.
Composite pre-filter · RO · post-carbon

How the filtration stages work
Pre-filters prepare the incoming water, the RO membrane separates out dissolved solids, and a final stage suited to each model treats the water before it is poured. The purifier also shows when a filter change is due.
01
Prepare
Sediment and carbon stages catch suspended particles, improve taste and help protect the RO membrane before separation begins.
02
Separate
Pressure pushes water through the RO membrane, leaving dissolved solids behind in a reject stream that goes to the drain.
03
Finish
Depending on the purifier, a post-carbon, activated-carbon fibre or UV stage gives the water its final polish before it is poured.
04
Monitor
The TDS reading shows how the RO stage is doing, and the filter-life display tells you when a cartridge is due.
Filters and membranes
All three Velta purifiers use reverse osmosis, but each has its own cartridges and replacement schedule.

4-in-1 composite cartridge
Sediment · carbon · RO membrane · post-carbon
One cartridge does it all: pre-filters the water, runs it through the RO membrane and polishes the taste.

One replacement filter
PAC composite · RO membrane + ACF · outlet UVC
Pre-filtration prepares the water before the RO membrane and carbon-fibre stages, followed by UV at the outlet.

CF + RO cartridges
Composite pre-filter · RO membrane · post-carbon
The composite filter pre-treats the water before it reaches the RO cartridge.
Change each cartridge when the purifier reminds you, or at its litre or time limit, whichever comes first.
How to tell your purifier is workingWhy reverse osmosis
RO reduces dissolved solids that carbon alone cannot. The surrounding stages catch particles, improve taste and finish the water.
Physical particles
01
Membrane filtration creates a fine physical barrier for suspended particles and microscopic matter, including microplastics.
Dissolved solids
02
RO reduces dissolved salts and TDS. It can also reduce selected metals, where a test on the specific system shows it.
Persistent chemicals
03
PFAS—per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances—are persistent synthetic chemicals often called “forever chemicals”. The US EPA lists point-of-use RO among the technologies that reduce certain PFAS compounds.
Taste profile
04
Activated carbon reduces chlorine-related taste and odour for cleaner-tasting water.

Filters, warranty and service

Frequently asked questions
RO can reduce a broader range of dissolved substances than sediment and carbon filtration alone. Velta pairs it with pre-filters that protect the membrane and a final stage that refines the water.
Check the TDS reading on the purifier: it is a quick view of how the RO stage is doing. HydroSpark+ shows one value in settings, HydroForm+ shows it live on screen, and HydroView+ shows water-in and water-out TDS on the faucet.
Choose HydroSpark+ for sparkling, cold, ambient and hot water. Choose HydroForm+ for plumbed-in hot, cold and ambient water. Choose HydroView+ if you want ambient RO water and a clear worktop.
No. All three use reverse osmosis, but their cartridges and final stages differ. Each model has its own filters, replacement schedule and water modes.
It is the manufacturer’s nominal pore scale for the reverse-osmosis membrane used across the Velta range, a way of describing how fine the membrane is.
No single filter removes everything. RO reduces a broad range of dissolved substances, while the sediment, carbon and final stages handle the rest.
Change cartridges when the purifier reminds you, or when they reach their litre or time limit, whichever comes first. That keeps every stage doing its job.
