Hydrogen

Measure the hydrogen that is dissolved.

Hydrogen water contains molecular hydrogen, H₂. Hhuhu generates and disperses hydrogen into compatible purified water. Concentration, bubbles and developing research answer different questions.

01 · Hydrogen

Dissolved H₂ · separate from bubbles

Some hydrogen dissolves in the water; some is held in suspended bubbles. Hhuhu’s temporary milky cloud is created by micro- and nanobubbles.

Visible cloudiness and particle counts are not substitutes for a dissolved-H₂ measurement at the point of drinking. They do not establish absorption, dose or health benefit.

02 · Hydrogen

Concentration · check what was measured

For dissolved hydrogen in dilute water, 1 mg/L is approximately 1 ppm. Record the method, sample temperature, time after generation and whether the result describes dissolved H₂ or includes bubbles.

The manufacturer’s over-10,000 ppm Hhuhu headline combines dissolved and bubble-form hydrogen. Do not compare it directly with a dissolved-only concentration. An ORP reading is not a direct dissolved-H₂ measurement.

03 · Hydrogen

Hydrogen water · start with a suitable source

Hhuhu is a dedicated 3 L countertop hydrogen water machine. Supply compatible purified, distilled or RO water with TDS ≤5.

It does not filter tap water, heat it, chill it or carbonate it. Allow space behind the machine to remove the tank, and clean the tank every two weeks.

Research · promising questions, limited conclusions

Published human studies investigate hydrogen water across different participants, concentrations, durations and outcomes. Early findings do not establish a benefit from a particular retail machine.

The 2024 review below calls for larger samples and more rigorous methods. Read the study population, delivery route and measured endpoint before interpreting a result. Hhuhu is not a medical treatment.
