Start with what you need the water to do. A treatment process, a bottled-water category and an added gas answer different questions.

| Water type | What it describes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Boiled | Heat treatment for microorganisms | The official advisory; boiling does not remove most dissolved chemicals |
| Mineral | A source and mineral composition | Documented mineral analysis, packaging and taste |
| RO | Membrane treatment | Exact-model reduction evidence, installation and care |
| Alkaline | A pH above neutral | Composition and treatment; pH is not a purity score |
| Hydrogen-rich | Dissolved molecular H₂ | Compatible source water and a point-of-drinking measurement |
Boiled Water
Boiling is a microbial-control method when performed as directed by public-health guidance. It is not a general way to remove dissolved salts, metals or other chemical contaminants. Follow the specific official notice if one applies; do not assume heat fixes every water problem.
Mineral Water
Mineral content varies with source and brand. Calcium and magnesium can contribute to intake, but a mineral-water label is not a treatment specification for your tap. Consider convenience, taste, source information and packaging.
Reverse-Osmosis Water
RO uses pressure and a membrane designed to reduce dissolved solids. The commonly quoted 0.0001 µm figure is a nominal manufacturer membrane scale, not a finished-product contaminant guarantee. System design, integrity and maintenance matter.
Velta’s HydroSpark+, HydroForm+ and HydroView+ use RO and provide different output and installation formats. Their TDS displays differ: Spark shows one value in settings, Form one live reading, and View inlet and outlet readings together. None is a comprehensive safety assessment.
Alkaline Water
pH describes acidity or alkalinity. It does not identify contaminants or prove that water is cleaner. The body regulates blood pH; a drinking-water pH headline is not evidence of a clinical outcome. Read our alkaline and hydrogen comparison.
Hydrogen-Rich Water
Dissolved H₂ is separate from pH and from visible bubbles. Research findings depend on the study population, delivery method and measured exposure. They do not establish a health outcome for Hhuhu.
Hhuhu is a hydrogen-water machine for compatible purified, distilled or RO source water, with the local TDS requirement ≤5. It does not purify tap water. Its combined bubble-plus-dissolved headline is not a dissolved-H₂ dose. Read what hydrogen water means.
